Mental Health Counselor
"I help adults and adolescents make sense of what they are going through, understand the patterns that keep them stuck, and find practical ways to move toward the life they want."
About
I am a mental health counselor who works with adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, stress, and challenges related to self-esteem and emotional regulation. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable exploring difficult experiences while also working toward meaningful change.

My approach is individualized and collaborative. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care, adapting treatment to each client's needs, strengths, and goals. I believe therapy can be both a place for understanding ourselves more deeply and a practical space for developing new ways of coping, relating to others, and navigating life's challenges.

Before becoming a mental health counselor, I had a career in science and earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry. My transition from science to counseling reflects a longstanding interest in understanding people, human behavior, and the ways our experiences shape how we think, feel, and relate to others. I bring curiosity, warmth, and an analytical perspective to my clinical work.
