Immigration & Cultural Adjustment

Moving to a new country asks a lot of you at once: a new language, new rules, a career that may have to start over, family and friends suddenly an ocean away. Even when the move was your choice and things look fine on paper, it can feel lonely and disorienting. You may be homesick for a place that has changed too, tired from translating yourself all day, unsure where you really belong. For some people it hits right away. For others it surfaces years later, once the practical side has settled and there's finally room to notice what it cost.

We help you make sense of what the move has meant for you: what you brought with you, what you had to leave behind, and who you're becoming between two cultures. That can include stress around work and status, relationships and family across borders, grief for the life you left, or older experiences the move brought back to the surface. We offer online therapy across Massachusetts in English and Russian, so you can speak in whichever language feels closer to what you want to say.
